Core Concepts
Businesses
A Business is your venue's online presence on Platerly — one public profile where customers can discover you, browse your menu, and place an order. Everything else (menus, products, QR codes) lives under it.
Creating a business
Go to Businesses → New Business. At minimum you need a name, a currency, and a default language. Everything else can be filled in later.
The slug is the short identifier that appears in your public menu URL. It is generated automatically from the name but you can change it to anything you like — just keep it short and URL-friendly.
Branding
From the Edit Business page you can upload a logo and a cover image. These appear at the top of your public menu page.
A short description of your venue is shown below the name on the menu page — useful for giving customers a quick feel for what you offer.
Location & hours
You can add your address and opening hours so customers know where to find you and whether you are currently open. The menu page shows a live Open / Closed indicator based on your hours.
Social media links (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, website) are also displayed on the menu page so customers can follow you with one tap.
Going live
Each business has a Publicly Visible toggle. When it is off, your business is not publicly accessible — ideal while you are still setting things up. Flip it on when you are ready to share the link with customers.
Multiple businesses
Depending on your subscription plan, you can have up to 3 businesses under one account. Each business gets its own menus, products, and QR codes completely independently.
When you have more than one business, the Products and Menus pages show a filter so you can quickly scope the view to a specific venue.
